Christian Heritage Week - Celebrating Hawaii’s Godly Legacy - Henry Opukahaia, Hawaii

Celebrating Hawaii's Godly Legacy
Christian Heritage Week
April 4-11, 2020
WHAT
Christian Heritage Week is an annual special period of time set aside to recall, reflect, declare and celebrate the amazing legacy of GOD's hand on these islands.
WHEN
Christian Heritage Week is being celebrated this year from April 7-14. This marks the anniversary of the landing (April 4, 1820) of the first mission team from America, bringing the Gospel to Hawaii.
WHO
Christian Heritage Week is organized by Christian Voice of Hawaii, with participation by numerous Christian churches, organizations and individuals.
WHY
Remembering and honoring God for His goodness, grace and mercy gives proper glory to whom it is due, and invites God's continued presence and blessings into the entire community.
WHERE
Christian Heritage Week is being celebrated in many ways — in churches, Bible studies, small groups, workplaces, homes — all over Hawaii, whenever people may gather to recall the goodness of God.
WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN?
TV and radio programs, news articles, publications, community events and so forth, are being prepared. Churches and ministries are encouraged to recount their own stories of God’s mercies and grace. Proclamations are being issued by the governor, the mayors of all four counties, and both houses of the state legislature.
